The documentary 10 questions for the Dali Lama was a quick examination of the 14th Dali Lama's life. I only wish that there was more of the story of how he came to be, if you would like to see more of that story rent the movie Kundun. The begining of the documentary started off with a very high pitched voice and was very unfamiliar, but you later find out it's the voice of the 14th Dali Lama. Because the 14th Dali Lama has such a strong accent it is very unclear what he says. One thing that I appreciated was the fact that there were captions at the bottom of the screen as to what he said. All though this was great, the questions seemed to go round and round. The close up shots of the 14th Dali Lama and of other every day people were a good way to bring the story closer to the view, but need to be placed diffrently. One other thing I did not particulary care for was how the director did not introduce him self untill the middle of the moive, it was a shock when he just appeared in one of the senens. Over all it was a good choice of topic and very informative, but the little things are what make the movies, and the little things needed to be looked at a bit more in order to call this documentary great.
